The art collaboration between students from MICA's Elements of Visual Thinking and students at The Baltimore Design School.

Students from MICA’s Elements of Visual Thinking Foundation class collaborated with Baltimore Design School (BDS) 9th grade students to develop an exhibition exploring “self” using cyanotypes. MICA Foundation students were paired with BDS students for the planning and execution of the project. MICA students were introduced to the concept of mentorship while BDS students were able to be educated in a new form of art-making they had not had previous experience with. Furthermore, visits to MICA opened BDS students up to the possibility of attending an art school. The project culminated in an exhibition at BDS.
